May 24, 2025: Saturday Remix
Teachers and Staff: Happy Saturday!
Musical Ladder Begins Now!
The Musical Ladder KICKOFF BEGINS NOW!
What You Need To Do:
1. Find your collection of wristbands and certificates for your students. Your name will be on the cover sheet and the brown bag. These will be in the lesson room of your first lesson starting today. (Look in the teacher box and/or on the desk.)
2. Deliver the wristband and certificate to your students. Keep the remainder with you so you can deliver to your other students on the other days you teach. Try to deliver all wristbands and certificates this week!
Additional Information
Each level on the musical ladder represents a duration of time that a student has been taking lessons with us. Students who have not been 3 months yet will not receive anything, until their first 3 months. Every other student should receive something.
Attached is a document which shows the duration that corresponds to each level. For example, Apprentice = 3 months, Songbird = 6 months, Rock Star = 12 months, etc. You can communicate this with your students. This document will also be placed in the Teacher Resources folder on Google drive, and in the printed Teacher Resources binders in each lesson room.
We will continue to communicate more information about how students receive their next level certificate and wristband. Some levels also receive trophies. The next level for each student includes factors of both longevity (time elapsed) and learning / achievement of goals.
For now, the most important thing is that you give the wristbands and certificates to your students, CONGRATULATE THEM, and HAVE FUN!
Please let me know if you see anything that appears incorrect or missing, etc.
Remaining “Beary Sweet” Gifts for Students & Families
We are placing the remaining “Beary Sweet” gifts in the 108 waiting area for students and families to pick up and enjoy. If anyone asks, please let them know they are welcome to take one home!
Music Studio Calendar
Please become familiar with the music studio calendar (link below). Calendars are also posted in the 108 waiting area, in the Teacher Resources binders, and on various handouts.
We recommend taking vacations and scheduling flexible things during our scheduled off-weeks, when practical and possible.
When we have multiple music school locations, all locations will operate with the same studio calendar, including the travel studio.
Studio Recitals July 2 & 3, 2025
Our next studio recitals (Summer) are July 2 & 3, 2025, at the Norman P. Murray Community Center in Mission Viejo. Please encourage your students to participate and help them prepare for their performance!

Q. Do you always ask teachers first before you schedule something?
A. Often, perhaps most of the time, but not always. We will always ask if the day and time fall outside your regular schedule and availability. But, if you are already teaching on that day at that time, and you have an open slot, or availability before or after, then we might assign you something there without getting confirmation in advance. Sometimes when it's in the teacher's window we make an educated guess and go for it.
That said, please be confident that if we ever assign something you don't want or cannot do, then just decline. Communicate as soon as possible. We are striving to fill your schedule and all your availability, and are sometimes overwhelmed with various scheduling requests and needs.

Thank you, everyone, for all that you do!
Have a magical Saturday, a musical weekend, and a safe and healthy coming week.
