This summer, play more on your instrument or try out another instrument for fun!
Add one additional individual private or small group lesson at a one-time 30% savings for the full Summer Quarter (June, July, August) for the additional lessons. To qualify for the discount, you must enroll in the additional lessons for the full three-month summer quarter term. The additional lessons can be on the same instrument or a different instrument, and may be the same teacher or a different teacher.

CPT Shares Music with Others AND Receives Regular Performance Practice!
Our Concert Performance Team presented a lovely recital for the kind folks at Trabuco Hills Post-Acute in Lake Forest on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Each student played extremely well and made beautiful music at the piano.
And a special shout-out to Devyn: playing two full Clementi Sonatinas: No. 1 at the beginning and No. 6 as the closer. The latter is close to 15 minutes of music. Bravo, Devyn!

Our next CPT recitals coming up are Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Ivy Park at Mission Viejo, and then Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Freedom Village in Lake Forest.
We will be sending invitations to eligible students for an opportunity to join the CPT beginning our next season which begins in August.
Musical Ladder Starts Today!
Today, Friday, May 23, 2025, students will begin receiving their first wristbands and certificates! Teachers will be handing them out in their lessons this week and next. Students who have been at the studio for three months or longer will receive either their Apprentice band, or a higher level, depending on their longevity.
Newer students who have been with the studio for less than three months will be “on the ladder,” and eligible for their Apprentice band after completion of their third month!
Start earning and collecting your wristbands! Light up with pride at each achievement, and feel a real sense of accomplishment as you climb the ladder toward your musical goals.
Be sure to ask your teacher!
Summer Camps for Beginner Piano & General Music
We are hosting two summer camps this year for beginner piano and general music.
Camp participants will learn to play the piano during 15 hours of music lessons over five days during the summer months, in the mornings. Students will play the piano, enjoy musical arts & crafts, experiment with drums & rhythm percussion, and perform in a small group recital for family & friends at the end!
Details:
Ages 7-10
Mornings, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
One Week Duration (5 Days, M-F)
$399 per camp session
(3 hours per day, 5 days = 15 hours total camp duration)
(Sibling & Friends discounts may apply)
Camps are designed for beginners, age 7-10, who will learn some basics, get to know their way around the piano, play some songs, feel the beat, sing a little, enjoy some musical arts & crafts, and perform some music in a small group recital! Enrolled students may also attend to supplement their current lessons.

Destination Recital 2026 - Save the Date!

Our second annual destination recital will take place in downtown Ventura, CA, at the beautiful Namba Performing Arts Space, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. We have begun preparing for this event, and will open registration soon for those who like to plan ahead!
Quarterly Payment Option & Discount
At all Dennis Frayne Music Studios, including our Laguna Niguel and (soon to be) Lake Forest music school locations, we offer a quarterly payment option that can result in an additional 5% savings. Students and families paying quarterly agree to complete the full quarter term. Students and families are eligible for the quarterly payment option at the start of their first full quarter. (This is totally optional.)

Forum is a great way to gain performance experience in a friendly and supportive environment, and also to receive additional coaching and feedback from a teacher. These sessions are almost like free lessons! They are a part of your membership, and cost nothing additional to attend and receive the additional benefits.
And, Forum is where students can redeem prize tickets!
