September 13, 2025: Saturday Remix
Teachers and Staff: Happy Saturday!
Which is good and which is bad?
If you use equipment and gear in the lesson rooms such as guitars, amps, music stands, etc., please remember to put everything back neatly and in an organized way when you are finished. Please teach your students how to properly use equipment, how to take good care of it, and how to organize and store it.
For fun (and learning), see if you can identify the “good” photos from the “bad” photos!
Please strive to put things away where you found them, in a neat and orderly way, so that everyone can enjoy a nice lesson room when they walk in!
Encourage Your Students to Participate in Recitals!
Find information about our recitals on our website! And also in our monthly newsletters and weekly email communications, on flyers and handouts around the school, and by emailing questions to the Office or to me.
Q: What is the single most important thing I can do to improve my teaching?
A: Slow down! Assuming you are kind and caring and supportive to your students in a general way, the one thing every teacher can do to significantly improve their teaching, is to slow down.
We do almost everything too fast. We may not realize it, but we should pay close attention. Slow down, dramatically, and you will improve your teaching, and your students will improve their learning, enjoy it more, and find it less frustrating, more satisfying, and more rewarding.
If you would like to read my article, Teaching Strategies for Struggling Students, you can find it at the link below. I have written about this in some of our past Saturday Remixes as well.
