July 18, 2025: Friday Medley

Happy Friday!

Summer Camp #2 Completed!

Thank you, Miss Suzanne, for hosting our second and final summer camp for 2025! The camp was very successful, with three wonderful musical campers! I enjoyed watching their closing performance with their parents and families, which included each student playing on the piano and drums, along with an artistic display of musical crafts!

All of our campers have expressed an interest in continuing with lessons, and we welcome you to our music studio!

Musical Ladder has Trophies, Too!

As students climb the Musical Ladder, they will reach levels that include trophies! Below is a photo of the trophies that can be earned.

At all Dennis Frayne Music Studios, we’re proud to offer the Musical Ladder System®— a fun and motivating way to keep students excited about their music journey! With the Musical Ladder, students earn colorful wristbands, certificates, and special trophies as they reach new milestones in their lessons. It’s more than just rewards—it’s a proven system that encourages regular practice, builds confidence, and celebrates each student’s hard work and progress. Families love seeing their children light up with pride at each achievement, and students feel a real sense of accomplishment as they climb the ladder toward their musical goals.

The Musical Ladder makes learning music a joyful adventure, helping students stay motivated, engaged, and proud of every step they take!

NEW: Be on the lookout for information about upcoming “tests” for students’ next level achievement on the Musical Ladder.

Tests take place as part of each student’s regular lessons, are brief, low-stress, and even fun, and are intended to be assessments of some sort to help make achievements on the Musical Ladder more meaningful. The Musical Ladder levels are based on longevity – how long a student has been continuously enrolled in lessons, and tests help to formalize the process, encourage students to practice and prepare, build confidence, and reward the achievement of reaching the next level on the ladder!

The first level on the ladder comes at a student's three-month mark. Subsequent levels are reached at intervals of three months, six months, or one year, as you climb the ladder and earn awards!

If you have any questions, or if for any reason you would like to opt out of the optional musical ladder program, please reply to this email and let us know!

Referral Program

Several families have recently taken advantage of our referral program. You should, too!

If you have a friend who might like to take lessons, refer them to Dennis Frayne Music Studios, Laguna Niguel School of Music, or Lake Forest School of Music. If they register for lessons, we’ll give you each twenty-five dollars plus make donations to Scholarship Squirrel and Children’s Hospital of Orange County!

Each party will receive a check for $25 in the mail, once the new student completes their first month of lessons, plus, Scholarship Squirrel and CHOC each will receive a $25 donation.

It’s very easy to refer someone. Just send an email to us both and share their name(s)!

There’s no maximum to the amount of credits and donations that you can receive and give!

Help us grow our music studio and let’s give a little back to our community and to children in need of special assistance and care.

Q: When should we start selecting, learning, and practicing Halloween, Christmas, and other holiday music?

A: Now! Summertime is the best time to start learning and practicing music for the Fall and Winter holidays. We encourage all students to learn several new holiday pieces each year, to relearn some old ones, and to always have some patriotic-themed music in their repertoire. Music you can play anytime, anywhere, for anyone!

Have a magical Friday, a musical weekend, a good old summertime, and a safe, happy, and healthy coming week(s).

Thank you,

Dennis Frayne
