Today (4/25) is the last day of our music studio Spring Break, so lessons resume tomorrow morning, on Saturday, April 26, 2025. We look forward to seeing you all in your lessons!

Be among the participants of our first music studio destination recital: a day trip on Saturday, May 10, 2025, to Poway in San Diego County. We will be performing at the beautiful Temple Adat Shalom on Saturday, May 10, 2025. at 1:00pm.
Our trip will include travel on a charter bus, a visit to the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, as well as lunch, ice cream, t-shirts, and more. To learn the details and to request to participate in this destination recital, please visit this page:

Attendees will be inaugural members of our destination recital program!
Musical Ladder Begins May, 2025
All students will enter the program - “be on the ladder” - effective April 30, 2025, accruing the number of months and/or years since they began taking consecutive lessons. (All students will be included, but any student can opt out of the program, as desired.)
The Musical Ladder System will reward students with certificates, wrist bands, and trophies based on certain longevity and milestone achievements along their musical journey and development.
Similar to karate belt tests, every three months or so your teacher will schedule a meaningful test, in-lesson performance, small project, or other development milestone for you or your child. When the student reaches their longevity milestone and completes/passes their test they will receive a really cool wristband for their level. They also get a certificate of achievement. At certain levels they will also receive a personalized trophy with their name on it.
We know this program will bring smiles to parents and students and we're very excited about enhancing your music lesson experience.

Practice Performing! Our next Forum is next weekend, May 2, 3, 4
Performing music for others should be enjoyable and rewarding experiences. Practice performing at Forum to make it easier and easier!
Our next Forum sessions are (30 minute sessions):
Friday, May 2, 6:15 pm and 6:45 pm (note the earlier time for this date)
Saturday, May 3, 8:15 am & 8:45 am
Sunday, May 4, 5:00 pm & 5:30 pm
(Forum is offered the first Friday, Saturday, & Sunday of each month. You do not need to register in advance… just show up and participate!) Forum is a great way to get some FREE additional performance practice time, one-on-one professional coaching, and other experiences of a musical nature. Take advantage of these opportunities to enhance your music education and musical journey.
Studio Spring Recitals - Well Done!
Our studio recital set (Spring Quarter, 2025) took place over two days, April 14 and 15, 2025, Monday and Tuesday afternoons and evenings.
Teacher Mr. Denny presented a special performance at each of the recitals over those two days. He performed the entire Presto! It’s Piano Magic, Book 1, from memory, at the piano. He also sang many of the songs, too! His performance was an inspiration to many students, and to me!
Many other students performed beautiful music over those six recitals!
Thank you all for performing your music for us! We really appreciated and enjoyed watching you and hearing you play and sing!
CPT Shares Music with Others!
Our next CPT recital is on Sunday, May 18, 2025. And we have recently added Freedom Village in Mission Viejo to our venue rotation, starting this summer, and we are pretty excited about that!
Music Studio Calendar
Q: How Does the Music Studio Calendar Work?
A: 12 SESSIONS (11 MUSIC LESSONS PLUS 1 RECITAL) PER QUARTER
The studio calendar schedule operates on a quarter system. There are 4 quarters per year. Our quarters go from September-November (Fall), December-February (Winter), March-May (Spring), June-August (Summer).
Each quarter has 13 weeks total. One week each quarter is reserved for recitals (no regular lessons). One week each quarter is reserved for holidays / vacations — an “off week” (no regular lessons). Tuition / membership pricing is based on this quarter system and is the same amount each month; i.e. we don’t charge you more when you have five lessons, and we don’t charge you less when you have three lessons in a month.
There are no make-up lessons and no additional prorating for off-weeks. These are built into the calendar, and into your membership tuition.
Every quarter has 12 sessions which consist of 11 music lessons and 1 recital. The recitals are held at different locations on different days of the week and times of the day, to help ensure a variety of experiences and availability.

Can I request a make-up music lesson for a missed recital?
If you do not normally attend, or have no plans to attend, recitals, then we prefer that you do not request make-up music lessons, but instead, let them go, or donate them to our scholarship fund for students with financial assistance needs. Or, please see also our Forum options below.
If you normally attend, or strive to attend, recitals, but are unable to attend for a particular quarter, then yes, you may request a make-up music lesson for a missed recital. Use the same make-up music lesson request form, and enter the date of the recital as the missed lesson date.
Forum is Another Option
Another great way to receive additional lesson time, one-on-one coaching, performance practice, and musical experiences, is to attend Forum. We offer six Forum options per month, and you can attend as many as you wish, each month.
